Nope! In both New Hampshire and Maine, you have direct access to physical therapy. If, during our sessions, I determine that consulting with a doctor would be beneficial, I'm happy to refer you and coordinate care with your existing healthcare team.

We'll begin with a conversation to understand your concerns and goals. Then, I'll conduct a thorough evaluation, which may include assessing range of motion, strength, neural mobility, and joint mobility. If pelvic health is a concern, we might discuss an internal pelvic floor evaluation (see below for more details). We’ll discuss my findings, what they mean for you, and our plan together. Depending on our findings and time, we'll initiate treatment and provide you with exercises to start your healing journey.
-
If you're experiencing pelvic floor issues, an internal evaluation can be insightful. We'll discuss what information I hope to gain and what to expect, then with your full consent, I would insert a gloved, lubricated finger into the vaginal or anal canal to assess pelvic floor muscles. Your comfort and safety are paramount; you can pause or stop the evaluation at any time. I understand that past traumas can influence comfort levels, and it's entirely okay to decline this part of the assessment.

Please wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement and provides access to the area of concern. This ensures we can perform a comprehensive evaluation and treatment.
-
One of the benefits of our flexible, patient-centered approach is the ability to address new concerns as they arise. If a new issue comes up, we'll perform a fresh evaluation and adjust your treatment plan accordingly.
-
Not at all. While I include a consent form for dry needling in the initial intake packet, it's entirely optional. If you're curious or unsure, we can discuss it in detail. If you prefer to skip it, we have plenty of other effective treatment modalities to choose from.

I accept cash, credit cards, FSA, HSA, and checks at the time of service. As an out-of-network provider, I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement, depending on your plan's out-of-network benefits. Brittany Lee Wellness was created to give you, the client, and me, the therapist, freedom to determine together what the best treatment plan is for YOU without the restrictions and limitations that come along with insurance. Please note, this does not apply to Medicare or Medicaid.

Reiki is a Japanese form of energy work that works with the knowledge that we are all energetic beings. We have energy all around us and running through us, think of how you may have an instant reaction to someone you’ve never met or you just walk into a room and know that something is up, that’s energy. When it energy isn’t moving through us smoothly, it can manifest in physical, mental or emotional ways. Reiki clears the pathway and brings in healing energy to restore your system.
How exactly we mix it in during a PT session depends on the person and our goals. If someone comes in super stressed out from life, we might start with some Reiki to active the parasymptathetic nervous system and open up the flow of energy so that they are more receptive to healing. Other times we’ll use it at the end of the session as a way to integrate what we did during the session. And… energy flows with intention so sometimes we weave it in throughout the hands on portion of the session.
